Oakbank Pizza Bar
Accounting made easy

“Makes running my business hassle free”

“Honestly, what makes it worth running this business is seeing the repeat patronage. Seeing people walk back in again and have a smile on their face.”
INTRODUCTION
Finding joy in what you do
Errol Bleckly is the owner-operator of Oakbank Pizza Bar, where he and his family have been serving pizza and pasta to locals and walk-ins for over 17 years.
“The pizza bar, I stumbled across it and I decided to give it a crack and I’ve been doing it now for seventeen and a half years.”
With his family and a staff of 4-5 behind the counter, Errol makes the pizzas from scratch, starting with the sauce. But what makes his restaurant special is the people.
“Oh boy, I’ve got quite an eclectic group of customers. They’re always coming in with new stories every day. We have trainers from horses to businessmen come in.”
THE CHALLENGE
Making bookkeeping simple
The Oakbank Pizza Bar is a family-run business, and Errol’s mother, Felicity, helps with the bookwork.
“I look at all of the accounting and the bookkeeping and check to see that it’s working correctly.”
The challenge was getting software that kept things simple. Running a business is stressful enough; adding accounting and payroll compliance was a serious drain for the family.
“Before, we used to have to use little drive things, you know, the USB drives.”

“There are so many packages out there with prices that increase for things we don’t need.”

“To be able to do things like the BAS and payments for superannuation and payments for staff, Reckon simplifies everything.”
