Nicola Turschwell is a professional counsellor and art therapist with over 20 years of experience. Working from her home studio, Nicola offers somatic therapy focusing on creativity to treat patients and clients.
“I’m a counsellor and art therapist, and that means supporting people through self-awareness, through their hurt feelings and states of being, to find a place of peace for them. And often that’s through using art materials.”
Nicola’s approach to therapy is to provide a safe space for her clients, where they can find healing through their own sense of creative expression:
“The client experience when they come to my home and art therapy studio is that they are coming to my home. So they come through my kitchen. I usually make them a cup of tea. I aim to provide a safe and comfortable space.”
