Data Centre

Reckon Accounts Hosted and Reckon One data is located in datacentres operated by Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS data centres comply with many recognised international and national standards including PCI DSS Level 1, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001. Please visit the AWS compliance page for further information.

Data Storage Location

All Reckon Accounts Hosted and Reckon One servers are specifically located within Australia in the AWS Asia Pacific (Sydney) Region. The data stored in this region does not get transmitted to; or stored in any other AWS region. Inside the Sydney Region, we use multiple physical data centres, these are referred to as availability zones. We have business continuity and disaster recovery mechanisms in place that allow for one of these availability zones to fail.

For New Zealand clients, the New Zealand Inland Revenue Department has granted Reckon approval to hold records in Australia.

Backups

We provide tools and facilities for Reckon Accounts Hosted customers to perform their own file level backups. While Reckon maintains disaster recovery backups for Reckon Accounts Hosted and Reckon One solutions, Reckon Accounts Hosted customers who fail to maintain their own backups risk losing their financial records.

Encryption

All Data is encrypted in transit to and from the Reckon Accounts Hosted and Reckon One Servers using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certification provided by the industry leading certificate issuer Thawte.
