Reckon Product Updates for 2025: Release Recap

by | Jul 9, 2025 | Product Updates

IN SHORT
In 2025, Reckon released a series of product updates that focus on payroll, invoicing, and community engagement.
WHAT NEXT
With new product updates and user community engagement, Reckon customers will have access to more functionality, fit-for-purpose features, and enhanced product information.
At Reckon, the team is busy making sure our products work for you and suit your small business. This year, our focus has been on functionality and purpose, ensuring your payroll and invoicing go smoothly and pain-free. Let’s look at the big product announcements for the year so far as we approach EOFY.

Pay Templates

Payroll officers and administrators spend hours setting up the pay details of each employee or group, which increases admin time and the chance of errors. With Reckon’s pay templates, users can create, manage, and update pay information in reusable setups, making payroll quick and easy.

Customisable templates
Creating pay templates allows users to apply the pay setup to multiple employees, giving more flexibility. Users can manage changes with a few clicks and apply them to specific groups or all staff without manually updating individual employee pay setups.

Accurate and consistent payroll processing
With rates set in one place, users can reduce errors and data entry. This makes pay runs more accurate and consistent.

Automated Invoice Reminders

Managing cash flow is essential when running a business, and waiting on invoice payments slows down operations. Reckon’s automated invoice reminders help users take back more of their time so they can focus on running their business.

Customisable reminders
Users will be able to set the frequency and the content of their reminders to fit their business.

Reduced admin and better cash flow
Automatic reminders ensure users are paid faster without the hassle of manually identifying late and overdue payments.

Reckon Ideas Portal & Reckon Community Merge!

The way our users communicate and suggest product ideas to Reckon has moved to one place: the Reckon Community. We have moved product suggestions and ideas from our portal area to our community forum to help streamline our feedback process and ensure our users are heard.

Empower the user
Users will be able to suggest, vote, and discuss with other users ideas that could help improve our products.

Forum efficiency
Users will have a one-stop board for all product updates and news, eliminating the need to switch between product portals and community areas.

Redesigned End-of-Financial-Year Payroll Finalisation Process

We have streamlined the process for our users to finalise their EOFY. All on one screen, the method enables users to complete their end-of-year tasks with confidence and clarity.

Downloadable checklist
Users have the option to download a checklist and help documentation to provide information on exactly what they need to do to complete their EOFY payroll finalisation.

Sortable lists, printable and export-friendly
Users have full control over what they can filter when processing their EOFY process. Users have the freedom to export their EOFY Finalisation as a CSV file or print it as a PDF file for added flexibility.

Clear submissions, messaging and status changes
Users will be notified with clear error codes from the ATO and quicker status reminders for submissions.

What’s Next?

Reckon is continually striving to deliver the best functionality and user experience for its subscribers. Our development team is currently working on several projects that are scheduled for release in the coming weeks and months.

In the pipeline for release are updates to our Reckon Mate app, which allows employees to download and view important payroll data. We are also making changes to our invoicing system for a better user experience. Watch this space!
