Did you know that alongside Reckon Accounts Hosted (previously QuickBooks Hosted) there’s a management tool that makes it easy to manage users and select how files are managed online?
It’s not uncommon for us to get calls from customers asking how to log out of their account, delete their print files or change their password. Now, for the record, we love you getting your calls, but we do know you’re busy so in this blog post I’ll cover off what you can do using the “Manage Your Account” feature.
So, what is “Manage My Account” and where is it?
In simple terms “Manage My Account” is your online accounting software management tool for Reckon Accounts Hosted and other online products from Reckon. It allows you to manage who’s logged in, the users you have, how files are shared and more.
You can select to “Manage My Account” from the menu on the main online products login page where you may normally select “Accounts Hosted”.
What can the “Manage My Account” feature do?
If you’re using Reckon Accounts Hosted, here are six things you can easily do using “Manage My Account”:
1. Add users\manage users
2. Check your account details
3. Share your company file\manage shared folder access\delete shared folder access
4. Delete print files
5. Change your password\change ownership
6. Log-off remote sessions and many more.
Why is it useful to be able to log-off remote sessions?
There are times when you may find after leaving your session you’re unable to login again. This may be because you’ve accidentally closed down the browser or your computer has crashed due to power blackout.
By logging into “Manage My Account”, you can easily go into the “Log off Remote Sessions Area”. This will show you any users that are currently logged in or in a disconnected state.
All you need to do is select the User which is having trouble logging in, then select “Log off User”. It should only take a few moments for the status to change. Once the user is logged off, all you need to do is return to the Reckon Accounts Hosted login page and you should be able to enter your details and login without any issues.
